Safety Goggles - A brief history

Safety Goggles were first invented by the Eskimos, who carved them from Caribou antler, wood and shell. They used them to prevent snow blindness. The goggles were made to fit round the head and were held in place by a cord made of Caribou sinew.

They started developing in the 20th century when drivers of cars without roofs would use them to prevent eye irritation from dust or wind.
Since then they have developed greatly and are now used vastly by people requiring protective wear supplies.

At Safety Plus we sell a wide range of safety goggles online and other protective wear.
